History
Back in those days the knife had to go into the holder open. Depressing the blade lock, the knife would be guided into place by the bars and snap in behind the rivets on the knife.
By bending the blade pinch bar to conceal the point of the knife, I accidently made one that would open the knife even if it was put into the holder closed. I figured out what I did to accomplish this and was able to reproduce it.
Now, my shop is 20' x 20', and I am permantly reloced in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Sales now include construction workers, refinery workers, small and big game hunters, fishermen, electricians, plumbers, boaters, collectors and handymen. I have created several jigs for bending the now "Stainless Steel" parts that areTig Welded together then polished and glass bead blasted to give it a brushed Stainless finish that is now the finished product.
